THE REVIEW: ** Since this is the second book to the Red Winter trilogy, please check out my spoiler-free book review of book 1 - Red Winter here. ** Oh my goodness!!! I'm so speechless after reading this book because it keeps getting better. So the story start off with Emi, together with two yokai Shiro and Yumei begin searching for the missing god of the Earthly realm. In the first book, I'm totally love Shiro and Yumei; and it never fades after reading the second book. This book also shown how the main character, Emi starts to evolved. There are some scenes that I felt so annoyed about her because her lack of will-power, but you will came to understand why. I don't know how the author did it, but I'm truly mesmerized on her superb writing style and fantastic narrative. So much action and well-paced that it makes me not want to put it down. As a reader, I felt the right emotions of each characters and the transition on how each develop throughout the story. Did I mention that there are 10 pages of manga-style illustrated by the incredibly and amazing artist Brittany Jackson? RATING: 5 out 5 stars
Highly recommend this one! Man, with all the actions and emotions in this book - you will be asking for more.
