Hey! I'm so sorry if this post is late, as I was very busy this past few days. Anyway, let's get going: 8. P.S. I LIKE YOU by Kasie West This is the most adorable book written by the best contemporary YA author, Kasie West. It is about a girl who scribbled a lyric of her favorite song on her desk. The next day, she found out that someone continued her lyric and that's the start of her search for that person. Honestly, I had read this like 3 times because of a book hang over. I can't simply move on because I totally love how the story unraveled. Some my find it too chick, but I'm telling you - you'll go giddy all over! 9. CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE (A Thai movie) OMG! This movie is sooooo adorable. A very cute and simple, coming-of-age movie. This is my first time to watch a Thai movie and I'm completely head-over-heels with this! I remember that this was not a hype in my country. A former colleague of mine let me borrow her movie collection, this is the one that she highly recommend to me. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED AT ALL! So now, I'm passing this one unto you. It is about a freshman falling for her popular senior and did everything what the book instructed just for him to notice her. In reality, does this sound familiar to you? 10. WHEN IT'S REAL by Erin Watt I came across this book probably a year or 2 years ago by browsing through my Goodreads app. It is a simple, typical story of a famous teen pop singer and a normal teenager met under a weird circumstance. I'm trying not to spoil much about the book. Why is it in my list? Because the author has captivate me (as a reader) how the girl feel - yes, it is that well-written - you can definitely feel the emotions played throughout the novel. Read it! If you feel what I felt, let's discuss about it then. 11. HEARTSTRING (Korean drama series) THIS ONE has all the feels - perfect casting, perfect soundtrack and perfect storyline. I felt that 16 episodes are not enough to satisfy my hungry hopeless romantic heart. To be honest, I had an extreme Korean series hang-over that I refuse to watch other Kdrama after that. 12. START OF YOU & ME by Emery Lord Ready to move on with life? Well, I recommend this book to you. This book tells a story of a girl whose boyfriend died in an accident that left her scared, until she decided to take a second chance in life. She meant to have her old crush notice and ask her for a date, but things change when his cousin move to town. Again, I won't give much details about it. All I can say that it is a wonderful story about pain, to finally let go, and the courage to move on with life. 13. SERENDIPITY Do you believe in fate? How about in destiny? Those are been playing on my mind back when I was in college. I remember my college friend and I hang out in this huge bookstore near our campus. We came across a book about reincarnation, karma, and past lives, so we decided (since we have a 5-hour lunch break) to read it. I believe that is how I became a hopeless romantic. That I started to believe that in this world, we are meant for someone else - like the stars aligned in the skies. This movie is a perfect example that we may be destined to someone else - the other part of our soul. I mean that of course not everyone is meant to follow what is laid upon you. But if you feel that it is so right, are you going to avoid or fight? 14. SAY I LOVE YOU/SUKITTE IINAYO (Japanese movie) A coming-of-age Japanese movie about a girl who was bullied when she was little that she became mean towards her fellow classmates and schoolmates, as her defense mechanism. But that did not stop a popular, good-looking guy to notice her. This movie is simply sweet - learning to trust others and to gain friends; to learn how to forgive and even ask for forgiveness. Phew! Last part of my top 21 pick will be up soon.
